Can you make an ‘Adult ‘ whoopie pie with liquor?
I watched this for the mud Pie recipe and was truly disappointed that they used store bought, preservative laden cookies for the crust.
My mom made these Whoopi’s pies when we were kids in the 60s and 70s but we called them “black moons” the recipe was about the same. Delicious!
This made me hungry
Those whoopie pies though…I crave!
Bridget and Julia are in excellent form in this episode. I've loved these two for a long time — so great to see them still going strong together!
There is actually a name for the outside "cookie-cake-pie" part: they are "drop cakes." It's the same category as the "cookie" part of "half-moon cookies".
Chocolate makes me happy. 🙂
Yum 😋 never had one
The mud pie looks awesome!!
Mississippi here 🙋♀️ we do hold our mud pies close to our hearts! ❤️
In Pittsburgh we call these Gobs. We coat the outside of the cake in granulated sugar which keeps the cake from sticking to your fingers and gives it a nice crunch.
Question please! Would it be possible to use the mouse from the mud pie recipe sans the cocoa powder for the filing between the mud pies? Or even with the cocoa powder added?
I love chocolate, so it’s hard to decide which one I am making first. Thanks love your videos.
Right around when this was uploaded I was very sick with something that doctors couldn't diagnose, but someone told me those symptoms were very close to mono. I was in bed, miserable, everything I ate came back up, and I was watching this episode in bed, with a pounding headache and I barely understood what I was watching. But I just remember the comfort of the guitar strings, Julia and Bridgette, and a huge chocolate craving
Y'all ROCK IT! Rated by a confirmed choco-holic!
What the heck? Cooks Country, bluegrass music, and Boston??? Give it up!!!
julia looks and sounds like she could be Kathy bates sister.
"Jimmy Hoffa's in the divot" Hahaha, that's awesome. I have a kitchen aid mixer and have the same problem with stuff in the divot mixing in.
Couldn’t you use Italian/Swiss Meringue if you wanted white frosting.
Both the Mississippi Mud Pie and the Whoopie Pies seem absolutely mouth-wateringly delicious!!!!
Omg you guys are making me miss Boston way too much 😔 i just watched the video with boston cream pie & now woopie pies OH MAN!! My sister just sent me some, devil dogs and linguica so I was very 😊 happy. Thanku for the video & your knowledge. I love watching you guys
I'm surprised coffee powder wasn't added to boost the flavour of chocolate. I learned that coffee does that for chocolate from you guys in the first place!
The beige is also from the vanilla. Clear vanilla would give you a whiter filling, but clear vanilla tastes like fake coconut.
Go to Franks Bakery on State Street in Bangor Maine if you want the best Whoopie Pies . Been around 74 years. The frosting on their cakes I have never tasted anywhere ever. Unbelievably good!
Not as good without Chris Kimball….This comment will get under their skin.
Do you have any recipe for the marshmallow fluff?
I have never seen or heard of those cookies, but I’ve used Oreos with the centers scraped out. I swear I used a spoon and totally didn’t use my teeth.
I love this series! ❤️
Yum. I like the butter instead of shortening. It's like an extended butter cream frosting.
WHOOPIE!! See Ya Later Alligator! Love You Gals!
I think > Whoopi pie?… Yes Please!!
The whoopie pie is Amish. It belongs in PA!
You put the wrong link, you have a link to a full size food processor instead of a mini food processor.
When making the Whoopi’s pies can you Grease or spray the pan instead of using parchment paper
Made these, turned out a dream, making them again today
Can i just melt mini marshmellows? I've got like six bags….lol. Time to use them i guess.
Those two deserts looked delicious
