Where are we supposed to get a "big old bag"? I don't seem to have all these tools laying around. So I have to go out and buy all this equipment to make 2 loves of bread I can go out and buy in any grocery store?
How big are the chickens those thighs came from?😁 I will be making the chicken.
I'd love to just eat that entire loaf with olive oil like they are. Amazing tips given for the entire process!
Hi American test kitchen. I love 💕 all you’re shows along with good technics. This bread 🥖 is so delicious. But is there any way to reduce the Salt 🧂 for this recipe?. and make it healthier?. The Amount of Salt 🧂 in this recipe is quite too much. I like to make this bread 🥖 for my husband but he can’t take more Salt 🧂 in his digit. Thanks 🙏
I watch their show all the time… so disappointing that you have to pay for the recipes…
It takes a lot of work! Even more than homemade regular bread. I've made the old fashioned bread at home and it seemed like a lot of work.
I think maybe it was the lighting when they were in the pan. I love chicken vesuvio and I don't get to cook as often as I would like to as I don't have a caregiver and the last caregiver did not want to assist me in cooking. Hopefully the next one if I get a next one it takes so long will enjoy cooking! 🙂
Those Yukon Gold skins are an icky green. Odd.
I have used tin foil and a thin linen towel to form this type of bread! 🙂 I hope nobody will be put off simply because they are missing a piece of equipment. 🙂
STOP RUINING MY LANGUAGE!!! LOL j/k 😛
While I don't mind the effort, this recipe is confusing and somewhat inaccurate. I weighed 2 2/3 cups of bread flour and it was 13.8 oz. They say it's supposed to be 14 2/3 (14.66) oz. So which is it? It would be good if the ingredients listed in grams and always weighed? Pane Flopese.
Wow! The bread looks fantastic. But I am totally blown away by that chicken vesuvio. I had never even heard of it, but it's something I will certainly make. Thank you for sharing 😋
Is it acceptable for me to experience stand mixer envy? 😔 Shamed Chas
thank god CREEPY KIMBALL is gone
I use a King Arthur dough whisk to get all the ingredients hydrated then use the dough hook.
Great technique! Delicious!
Looks like a crappy Boston day outside that window! That bread would be worth a half-day "effort".
I've got nothing to do for a few days and have some extra lava rocks and a flipping board sitting around…
I love both these Italian classics. Thank you 🙏 😊
also wait… why not use the trimmed chicken fat to render and sear the chicken in instead of olive oil? crispy chicken skin snacks for the cook whilst cooking. duh
the extra in the back "chopping a carrot" with her index on top of the blade and no curled fingers has me shook
Lovely work, and a lot of it. But great result. Also why I’m happy to pay my local baker, 3 kids makes for no time for awesome bread making.
The dough with 10oz of water is too liquid, it doesn't look like that at all
i did it and it came out awful. it didn't rise in the oven and was dense.
I mean, it looks good, but there are far too many specialty items I definitely don't own for this to be a realistic bread recipe for the average home cook
Yummy bread delicious 👍
The intro song slaps so hard
I'm going to keep saying it until you hear me: why cover a bowl with plastic wrap when you can cover it with a clean plate???
The bread looked great, but your Chicken Vesuvio was not the Chicken Vesuvio I've eaten many times at a local Italian restaurant. The dish they served here is bite sized white meat chicken(no skin) with potatoes in a white cheese wine sauce. Any idea what region this version of the dish is from?
Never heard of this chicken dish but it looks wonderful. And definitely time to make pane franscese to mop up that sauce. Thanks ATK!
you can t make italian bread with american flour Ciao
this is not italian buuuuuuu
Wow, that chicken looks amazing!
Hello – love it all. Thank you!
After seeing this, I’m confused how bread is so cheap!
14:42 I was so impressed with Bridget's saying "brava" (feminine singular form of the adjective) to Julia. So, bravissime, Bridget and Julia, for having made those two gorgeous, artisanal pani francesi 👍👍👏! Well, what more can I say, the "umami duo" of the ATK are both knowledgeable and entertaining. 20:31 Mama mia, molto aglio per questo piatto! Beautiful chicken dish ❤️!
Good luck getting dry yeast! OMG… I wanted to do this and all the stores near me are OUT. Even have limit (1) bag flour to customers now. Seriously, is someone scaring people on Facebook to buy up TP, Water, flour, yeast? Edit: I looked online (e.g. Kingarthurflour, etc) and all are out of stock, back ordered or some scary-named brands I do not trust.
I was under the stupid impression that this vid would show people how to make bread during the stay at home pandemic order BUT all kind of stuff needed that probably no one has……….you guys have lost touch with your audience.
i’m not sure if this is a bread baking recipe or a shopping list for baking tools 🤣
This is hysterical! I love you but I can't stop laughing! Like anyone in their right mind is going to do this. Thank you for cheering us all up during the lockdown. xxx
The beauty of these recipes has always been that they have felt attainable to the regular cook. I don't feel like that's the case here. 10 or 15 dollars for a linen just for bread may not seem like a lot to them, but to me that is a meal for my kids. I can't do it. Remember please ladies who your audience is.
I love bread and this does look delicious, but way too many steps and too many hours to create. I’ll go with the other bread bakers on Youtube that create a loaf quickly. I have tried those others and they are very delicious too with much less work.
Turn your own burners on! 🤣
