Today I’m going to start 2025 by sharing with you my husbands recipe for bbq ribs now let me tell you he usually smokes them and the cooking time is much longer but when I take over I make them following his steps but easier and faster, making this ribs the best I have ever made trust me they are so juicy and tender, that every time we make them all they leave behind is the bones😅

Tips! Remove the liquid before adding the bbq sauce

Ingredients
2 racks baby back ribs
4-5 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp coarse salt
2 tsp coarse black pepper
2 tsp chipotle powder
2 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp oregano
Liquid smoke or mustard
1/2cup choice of dark soda or apple juice;divided
8 tbsp butter
Honey
Extra brown sugar
Favorite bbq sauce
1 serving of love 💕

  1. I made these ribs this weekend and they were a hit. Still enjoying the leftovers as I type this. I used mustard instead of liquid smoke and cherry coke instead of apple juice. I also skipped the hour wait before baking. Delicious!!

    I forgot to pick up heavy duty foil so I wrapped them loosely in foil sheets which caused the temp to stall around 170 F for a looooong time. Do yourself a favor and wrap yours up tightly so your cook time does not plateau due to evaporative cooling. trap in that moisture!

  3. Properly smoked ribs are undeniably superior, but for oven-made ribs, this is just fine. She incorporates the liquid smoke as a binder to make up for the lack of smoke in the cooking process, which is a nice way to get around the main issue: lack of smoke.
