  1. Okra is nasty, gross, and revolting. It should be a crime to put shrimp in anything with okra. The only thing worse then putting it in any kind of meal or food is picking it off the plant. I think God did not intend for man to eat the stuff but just have a nice flowering plant. I am going to stick with what I think God intended and never ever get even near the stuff.

  2. Since many seem to detest okra, because of its slime- one trick I learnt was first to shallow fry them like the cook did the sausages and that would help with removing the slime. This adds an extra step but if you don’t enjoy the slime as I do, this is your best bet.

  3. Wow I never heard of this, but I'm going to definitely try it. Growing up my mom fixed okra, corn, and tomatoes together in one large soup pot, oh yeah I remember she added butter beans. Some say Lima, we always said butter beans. She made a pan of corn bread. This is giving me childhood vibes. Thanks for this recipe. Love, respect and positivity always. Vee J.🙂👍😋✌️💕🕯️👋.

  4. That looks really tasty.
One piece of critique tho, the close up shots where things get grabbed quickly from out of frame is a bit jarring and kind of offsets the otherwise calm and enjoyable visuals.

  5. I can’t believe Chris Kimball my favorite from ATK(its creator snd founder in the 1980's) who was fired and who I still want back(his Milk Street program is not really what I like) presented on this site for sale a wok he designed!!!
