I can't wait to make smashed burgers, thank you ☺️
Ugh, plastic wrapped cheese? Are you joking? American Test Kitchen just flunked.
Isn’t a smashed burger supposed to have onions smashed into it while frying? 😜🤔
Salt on the tomato right before putting on the top bun 🙂 These look excellent!
Add sautéed onions and a few pickles…perfection!
🍆"I love a big thick juicy"🍆🍆🍆 lol
🍆 "I'm gonna smash it into my mouth"🍆🍆🍆 hahaha
Those buns look beautiful! We have nothing but crappy buns around here!
Here's a tip… place your tomato and pickles between the burger and lettuce, saves your bun from getting soggy 👍

Not many folks leave the root on the O's. Nice. That helps hold the veg together and dice to the very end. Smacking the lettuce to release the core works, if used soon. It won't store well due to bruising the rest of the head, it'll "rust". It can be cored like a cabbage, or continue to peel off as needed. Great! A beer, please.
Making it tonight
Stop talking and cheese it
You know, I've never had much success making burgers in the pan or on the grill, but it never occurred to me to make two layers of ultra-thin beef patties instead on one big one. It seems fool-proof. I'll try it.
How did you not toast those buns?
Put a dollop of butter under the burger ball, smash and hold 10 seconds on the grill, and then you're doing it like the self proclaimed inventor instructs!
Sorry, you lost me at, Sign in to see the recipe. If Chef John did that, I don't know what I'd do.
