no oats?!?!
I live in the Interior of BC Canada and we are very fortunate to have an abundance of orchards , I buy Honey Crisps by the 20lb bag for $25 directly from the orchard. This year so far I have purchased 4 bags, I made 2 batches of apple sauce .
Made this tonight with store bought filling but followed the crust recipe perfectly & it came out delicious!!!

If you put a slice of bread in the brown sugar will keep it softer I use the heel piece

I’m curious what the difference would be between melting the butter for the crumble and working it in when it’s more solid. I would think it give more texture
