Traditional white bread is usually made from bread flour because it is higher in gluten. I don’t buy much of it myself and I figured a lot of you are on the same boat. When I make my bread I use all purpose flour and it works amazing. So, if bread flour is keeping you from making your own bread turn on the oven and put on your apron. Easy white bread recipe

White bread recipe
Oven temperature: 375F degrees
Bake time: 22-25 min or until golden brown (internal temperature of 190F)
Water milk temperature for yeast: 105F-110F
One 9×5 loaf pan

IMPORTANT NOTES:
1.Mix and knead on medium low speed only.
2. If dough is still sticking after one minute of kneading, add additional flour one TBSP at a time until the right consistency is achieved. It should feel lightly sticky when pressed and smooth.
3. Dough should proof just until doubled in size both times.

1/8 of cup warm water (28g)
1 cup of warm milk (226g)
2 tsp active dry yeast (7g)
1 TBSP sugar + a pinch (12g + a pinch)
1 TBSP unsalted butter, melted (13g)
2 TBSP softened room temperature unsalted butter (30g)
1 1/2 tsp salt (8g)
2 1/4 cup All purpose flour + 3 TBS (359g)
Spray for greasing bowl & plastic wrap

Important: If your bread is not golden brown and has not reached an internal temperature of 190F degrees. Let it bake longer. The time the bread bakes may vary depending on your oven.

  1. I’ve always wanted to make a good homemade bread and have never been able to accomplish it but I finally did! The only thing “wrong” with it was that the dough didn’t rise enough so next time I’m cranking my heat up. It’s cold in NY and my house wasn’t warm enough for a proper rise

I just watched another video where the bread had very small air bubbles, meaning it would be dense to eat, but after watching your bread come out with so many larger air bubbles, I remember that that is how my Grandmother's always came out, so this is the recipe for me to try for sure. I can tell it must have come out so soft and light to eat.

  4. In your transcript at 4.16 it says add 2 tablespoon salt room temp . This must be a mistake ? I only see 1.1/2 tsp.salr in recipe? I am have trouble with my bread falling when I remove plastic wrap ? What am I do g wrong?
