this is probably true, but if I'm cooking in the evening, I'm so hungry I do a very approximate job of measuring anyways. this is very important for baking though!
I hold the measuring cup up to my eye level and look at the measure.
ure
Face the measurement line away from you then looking down you'll see easily if you need to add more up to the line……thank you HOME EC TEACHER
weighing is the most accurate & do it in metric.
This is a tip?
My old lady laughs at me for doing that n being so accurate
Wonderful idea I’ll keep it in mind.
Thanks 🙏
if you want an accurate measurement use an electronic scale. For water and mostly water the conversion doesn't even require calculation
It’s so much easier to use a kitchen scale. You get a precise measurement and many times you don’t have to use a separate container.
Thank you. I been saying this for years. And people would say that I was crazy.

Damn the most basic and common tip.
She fine as heck! 💜
Didn't realize that wasn't obvious.
Yeah, no. Best way to measure, is to weigh it.
Yeah because if your measurmemt isnt perfect your recipe will turn into a pumpkin

Or use a digital scale and measure liquid in Milliliters. Who are you people? What is this anymore?
A better tip: measure ingredients by weighing it in grams. Stop being lazy.
Well, DUH!
It would be so much better, easier, and more accurate if we Americans just weighed things!
wow i thought these are part of life skills but glad to see a video exists for those who need it
I’d argue weighing is more accurate given the insane level of discrepancy your testing turned out with different measurement vessels
The fact people don't know how to measure stuff feels like we failed people in schools… Thank goodness for the internet, where everyone educates themselves… For better or worse
This is exactly how to do it. The only exception is if you can measure mass instead. Mass, even on a cheap scale, is way more accurate than volume-measuring marks.
I recommend using a scale if you need to be that accurate
Your are not bending down enough. Your eyes should be at the line level. Yours are not.
