  1. That works for a relatively short period of time. To extend the time, vacuum seal the patties after using parchment paper between them. BTW, the less surface that's exposed to air, the slower the freezer burn will happen. For better longer term results, freeze the hamburger in meal sized portions. Thaw, when needed and then make the burgers.

  2. It takes quite a long while for freezer burn to happen, so I usually just put the metal pan in the freezer as is with the burgers separate for a few hours, and then once they freeze solid, just take them out and throw them in a sealed plastic bag without the parchment paper and then straight back in the freezer again. Provided they stay frozen they won't stick.
