Foodsaver! I've had one for over 25 years, never an issue. Accidently froze some ribeyes for 3 years. I thought they would be off a little, but not a problem…
I'm finding it hilarious that we're getting freezer burn tips from a very sun burned lady. Don't know why, but that tickles my funny bone. Good tips though! Thanks!
That works for a relatively short period of time. To extend the time, vacuum seal the patties after using parchment paper between them. BTW, the less surface that's exposed to air, the slower the freezer burn will happen. For better longer term results, freeze the hamburger in meal sized portions. Thaw, when needed and then make the burgers.
here is one step to add….dip the ziplock bag in a sink full of water to force out all the air. Submerge it up until the zipper part then seal. Its almost as good as a vacuum sealer
It takes quite a long while for freezer burn to happen, so I usually just put the metal pan in the freezer as is with the burgers separate for a few hours, and then once they freeze solid, just take them out and throw them in a sealed plastic bag without the parchment paper and then straight back in the freezer again. Provided they stay frozen they won't stick.
Rubbermaid tupperware with the burgers wrapped in plastic wrap.
great tips!
Soooo? Put ‘em in a freezer bag…? 👍🏼
OCD😂

Are those truly prepared burgers, or just portioned out chop meat?

Please don't try to be funny. You're not
I wrap them in Silicone Baking Sheets, then in Plastic Bubble Wrap….

Prevent is not the same as delay… This will only delay freezer burn.
No problem here.
They're never around long enough
Freezer paper works.
Aluminum foil works well also! 😊
Thank's so much for a simple idea with items most of us have at home. Love watching your videos. I appreciate your fun bright smile!
😂😂😂😂😂
Or just ask the meat shop to stack wax paper in between burgers 😅
Just make em into a ball, clingfilm, and when reqd do the flattening bit . The meat won't notice …..
Love it!
Also remember that where you place them in the freezer matters as well. Avoid placing them near (or in) the freezer door.
Does this work for all types of meats?

Young lady, very nice tip to avoid freezer burn
Lots of additional plastic waste

Comb your hair. Talk softly.

And make sure you get all the air out of that bag. That's what causes the ice crystals
They'll still get some freezer burn.. the water sublimates.
Aluminum foil, then plastic wrap works much better in my experience.
