I love that you brought science to seasoning. I argue so much with older people about what it actually is. 😂
got my blackstone 36" griddle and used blackstone seasoning 4 times on it today. i plan on using it 1 to 2 times per week so when should i re-season based on that usage. great video.
How soon after seasoning can we cook?
I usually use olive oil.
Doing this and prepping food at the same time was very stressful 😮💨 lololo
Thank you
So is this "seasoning" stuff chemical or petrochemical based?
how many times and when to season after initial seasoning the top?
How often are you supposed to season griddle?
0:04 thank thank thank thank you you you you 0:45
Great video, but one thing they really should’ve mentioned. As you’re spreading out the griddle seasoning, your hand will get unbearably hot, so use a glove or an oven mitt. But it will get ready to burst into flames, so beware. Otherwise, fantastic griddle, and nice video.
So 15min oil, 15min, oil, 15min, oil, 15min oil?
Thank u alot!
Am I supposed to shut it off after the first season of let it cool and then turn it back on and get it back up and start the second seasoning
Can I use olive oil?
Awesome videos but do you have any videos on how to reseson a griddle that is bad
Have a new griddle that I'm seasoning in the morning, your videos are great, very informative! Thanks!
So, the reason for not using animal fat is because of the nitrates? Ok, what about pure ground beef then? Should be fine based on your reason for not using bacon fat.
how often do you have to season the griddle?
umm … I saw a free on on CL , All I can think about is making my own hibachi ❤
How often should you do this?
What if I seasoned before watching this video and there are some uneven spots. Do I need to scrape it and try to fix it?
Great video, new black stone owner. Used to be a cook and miss cooking on them. Perfect video.
Should be pre seasoned bums no subscribe thumb down
What if I don’t have the seasoning you got
Seasoning my brand new 28" Adventure Ready as we speak! Thanks guys! Also helps that my name is CJ so it's like you were speaking directly to me 😂😂😂
Where do I get the griddle seasoning ? Didn’t come with any
Love the enthusiasm!
What if I cooked on it before I seasoned it?
So after seasonings, can you cook hamburgers and steaks with animal fat? Thank you
How long should it take to season the griddle?
Just bought this griddle the other day, it's the 22 inch black Stone and I bought the black Stone griddle seasoning and cast iron conditioner, which I'm fixing to season it here in just a few minutes. I had watched some videos on the seasoning of the griddle and noticed that most of them put the seasoning/ conditioner on theirs let it smoke and then after it stopped smoking they turned it off let it cool down and did it again. However, itcappears that this guy keeps seasoning it in between the smoke times & when it quits smoking he applies more of seasoning/conditioner, that's what I'm going to do. Happy cooking everyone!
Does it stay on high setting for each application of seasoning?
What if the bacon is homegrown and doesn't contain nitrates or salt? Can it be used to season the griddle?
Will using olive oil work just as good?
What if you don't have the seasoning oil you advertise what else can I use besides bacon ( I know not to use bacon fat)
