How To Soak Your Chia Seeds Before Adding To Your Smoothie

Adding chia seeds is one way to give your smoothie a really thick consistency.
To me, this makes my smoothie feel more like food, rather than just a drink, thus making me feel fuller after consuming it.
Before adding the chia seeds to your smoothie, it’s important to soak your chia seeds.
How To Soak Chia Seeds:
1. Add 2 tablespoons of chia seeds to a jar with half a cup of water.
2. Add a cover to the jar, and shake it up.
3. Set it aside for 10 minutes, then stir it up again. You should see a noticeable difference in the thickness from just soaking in the water.
4. If necessary, wait 10 more minutes, then stir, to ensure all the chia seeds soak up the water.
5. Add the soaked chia seeds to your smoothie and blend.
6. Pour the smoothie back into the jar to save on cleaning dishes, and enjoy.

I’m going threw chia seed poisoning, letting them soak for a good 20 mins is a must.
Do not put chia seeds down your drain unless you want to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for repairs.

After I soak the Chia Seeds, can I drain some of the water so I can add them to my coconut yogurt and fruit for breakfast? I read online a couple of years ago that you can put yogurt in a glass jar, add Chia seeds, mix it up, put a lid on it and let it sit in the frig overnight. Can I still do that?
I just felt like chia seeds are mixed with sand even if I buy in super market !! Is it really like tat or it’s the quality is poor ?
