  3. You know why thst smoker has lasted 10 years? You take good care of it.
    You have some nice equipment!
    Goodness, that looks so delicious!
I just love your videos! Thanks for sharing.

  4. Electric smokers get a bad rap from barbecue snobs. Like Chef Jeffrey says, the electric smokers maintain a constant temperature, unlike wood smokers where you are constantly chasing the temperature. I've had my Masterbuilt for a good number of years and I've smoked everything. One sidenote: if you want to cold smoke something like cheese or sausage, you cannot do this in the Masterbuilt main unit. You have to purchase a cold smoker which connects to the main unit through the port where the wood chip holder is inserted. It costs like $80 and it is definitely worth the price. Most commercially made smoked cheese is actually chemically smoked, NOT naturally smoked. Don't know about you, but the fewer chemicals that enter my body, the happier I am.

  5. I know you from the country….no shoes and bbq’ing😂. I sure do miss the piney woods of East Texas. Fresh chicken’s (literally just saw them walking around), fresh eggs, bathing in a washtub ( 2-3 deep),never thought I’d miss those days so much.

  6. I know that you already have a mound of things on your plate, but you really can kick this up a notch by making your own sausage. It is not hard, and can be done from start (meat grinding) to finish (stuffing casings) in less than an hour. As far as the equipment goes, you already have a KitchenAid mixer, and all you need to add is the KitchenAid meat grinder attachment. It also come with some sausage stuffing tubes, but I respectfully recommend that you spring for a dedicated sausage stuffing machine. (I bought a LEM 5 pound cannister sausage stuffer and I swear by it!) The dedicated machine allows it to be a one-man operation. (Using the KitchenAid sausage stuffer requires a second person.) Go for it! You won't be sorry.
