This recipe changed everything! This healthier sandwich bread is unbelievably soft, with a thin, crispy crust that takes sandwiches to a new level. Made with whole wheat flour, it has a perfect balance of hearty flavor and fluffy texture, all without any additives. And the best part? It’s ridiculously easy to make at home.

*Ingredients:*

* Water – ⅔ cup (160 ml)
* Fresh yeast – 1 tsp. (3 g) or dry yeast – ½ tsp. (2 g)
* Plain yogurt – ¼ cup (60 g)
* Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp.
* Flour – bread flour: 1 ½ cups (220 g), whole wheat flour: ¾ cup (100 g)
* Salt – 1 tsp (6 g)

Note:
• If you use instant yeast, add it directly to the flour, no need to mix it with water
• If you use dry active yeast, mix it with water and a little sugar and let it activate for 5-10 minutes. If it starts to foam, then the yeast is alive and active, otherwise don’t use it
• If you use fresh yeast you can either mix it with water as I did for a better distribution, or crumble it into the flour.
