I Marinated a Steak in pineapple… and it was amazing!! #shorts #food #recipe

I’ve been wanting to try this for awhile after my man @jakepolino told me how good it was! I’ve seen it a few times over the years and finally gave it a shot!

I salted a steak, let it absorb into the meat, then covered it with crushed pineapple. Pineapple has an enzyme called Bromelain that breaks down the muscle fiber and tenderizes steak, Fresh pineapple is best for this, Just be very careful not to leave it in there for too long… 60 mins should do the trick! You can use crushed pineapple like I did, but it won’t have as intense of an effect as fresh! I used @dolesunshine

Do your best to wipe off the pineapple before searing, the sugars will cause the crust to caramelize very easy so medium temps are best here!

Tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection!!

Knife – @messermeister
Vacuum sealer – @zwilling_usa

  2. Pro tip:
DON'T DO THAT WITH FRESH PINEAPPLE.
If you only have fresh pineapple, cut a small cube, 2 cmsx2cmsx2cms and blend it with whatever you want to marinate it with. Then leave it for 15 minutes.
Trust me: the enzymes are VERY strong.
