Indian style macaroni pasta is my daughters favourite dish, I have made this dish to suit our Indian taste buds. Cooking macaroni pasta at home is very simple and tastes delicious too.

Cooking time 15 mins
Preparation time 10 mins
Serves 4

Ingredients required
Macaroni pasta – 1 & 1/2 cup
Water 2 cups
Salt – 2 teaspoon
Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
Maggi masala 1 packet
Oil 3 tablespoon
1 finely chopped onion
4 blanched tomatoes made as puree
5 garlic pods chopped finely

Preparation method
Add 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder to the boiling water.
Add 1 &1/2 cups of macaroni pasta and cook for 3 minutes or until it doubles in size.
Strain off the excess liquid and set aside.

Cooking method
Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a separate pan, add chopped garlic,chopped green chillies and saute for a minute.

Add chopped onions and salt and saute well.
A minute later add 1 cup of tomato puree, mix well.

Add turmeric powder and salt and continue to cook until the raw flavors are gone.

Add 1 cup of boiled pasta water which we have set aside in the beginning while draining the pasta.

Bring it to a boil and add the pre-cooked pasta.
Mix all the ingredients well.

Season with a pinch of red chili flakes.

Add maggi masala and cook for 2 minutes.
Macaroni pasta home cooked Indian style is ready to serve.

You may avoid red chilli flakes.

You may replace maggi masala with home made curry masala powder.
