Irish Soda Bread Recipe



In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, I wanted to make this Irish Soda Bread from Gemma Stafford’s Bigger Bolder Baking channel. It’s so simple and so good. I hope you give it a try.

👩🏻‍🍳 IRISH SODA BREAD

3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 tablespoons butter
1 egg
1 ¾ cup buttermilk

Bake at 425F or 218C for 15 minutes. Lower heat to 400F or 204C and bake for 30 minutes.

  1. I made this once and it was awful. I don't know what I did wrong. My son was in elementary school and they had to bring something homemade from their ancestry and he picked this from the internet. I never made bread in my life till then. He helped me make it. I felt bad for him because he said nobody liked it. If he had picked corn beef and cabbage I knew how to make that lol. Your bread looks great.
