Sounds weird, but it's the best solution I've found… I place a diatomaceous earth shower mat under the good ol' wire rack. Works like magic.
Also, the hotter the rinse water, the faster the air dry.

We bought the $60 Oxo dish rack as a present to ourselves and love it. Also has an adjustable drain spout and comes apart easily to go into the dishwasher.
