I have followed the two of you for years. You have improved with age. Talk about growing old gracefully!!!!! Love your videos! Looking forward to the e cookbook. I’m growing herbs for the first time and trying to learn how to incorporate them into my cooking. I love to cook but have an extremely picky eater for a husband. I’ve decided that him being picky is no reason for me not to try out new things. I’ve actually found a few new recipes that he likes.

Hi Sweet Karen!! I, like you, have never been a big book reader. Give me a good magazine any day and I'm a happy girl!! But since my retirement almost a year ago, I am intrigued with self help and tell all books. Currently, I'm reading SPARE (Prince Harry's new book) and this past year I have also read "Life Makeover" ~ Dominique Sachse. I have followed her on You Tube for a few years now and love her!! Valerie Bertinelli's book is another good one!! Thank you for sharing all your family activities. Your son-in-law's menu looked divine and your granddaughter is so precious!! I love getting out of bed and walking OUTSIDE! It has turned into my favourite part of the day. Our winters are long so I'm finding that spending as much time outside during the spring and summer is super beneficial to my overall well being!

As far as what I am excited about has been rediscovering crochet! I was taught when I was about 10 years old by my grandmother. Have had times in my life when I have picked it up once in awhile for Christmas stockings in the late 70’s. Did some baby blankets and Halloween trick or treat bags when my grandchildren were born in the mid 90’s thru 2017.
Now in retirement I have joined 2 groups that donate items to the military families, hospitals and nursing homes.
Very rewarding and I really enjoy it.
You never know when an old hobby will become new again!

Karen, First being in the moment with Jesus. It makes such a difference in my day. Second I’ve been purging. I was no way a hoarded and Im not a extreme minimalist, but in the past 3 years I have cumulated more then usual. It feels so good when I open a closet, drawer and cupboard. I kept the things I love and I use them. My mind and body has a relaxed, freeing feeling. I enjoyed your Day in the life 🙏🏻💕
Gardening is my passion. I have to force myself to stay inside and do house chores. I wake up everyday and can;t wait to get outside. I am an avid Linda Vater fan, she inspired me to enjoy my yard and garden,.
Being from Ohio I bet you remember Gooseberry patch, they did a wonderful series of cookbooks with decorating and tradition hints in them. Your idea sounds similar and I look forward to it.

I highly recommend the book, “A Thousand Days Days in Venice” by Marlena De Blasi. A true story about an American chef, who goes to Venice, falls in love and marries an Italian man. I think you will want to read all of her books. She is a beautiful writer. Another favorite author is Belinda Alexandra.

If you need any dining suggestions my husband and I had dinner at Buca Di Baco and La Sponda in Positano and one of our favorites in Florence was Restorante La Reggia. Everywhere we ate was wonderful. I hope you and Mark have a wonderful time!
