If you don’t have an Instant Pot, you can certainly use a normal pressure cooker for this recipe. If you have neither an Instant Pot or a pressure cooker, just cook the beef on low heat for two hours until tender.

Kaldereta is my favorite Filipino stew because it usually has goat meat and liverspread. Goat meat isn’t as easily accessible as beef stew meat, but it’s almost just as delicious.

The liver spread is really what makes this stew exceptional. If you don’t like liver, DON’T WORRY. You won’t taste it!

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you found this video useful!

  1. I love the clarity & simplicity of your recipes. You also give brief explanation on why things should be done this way or that. I love the way you demonstrate your cooking. We'll appreciated. I am able to cook both your Mechado & Kaldereta with the help of your videos & it both turned out well. Keep it up & more power! Hope to try some more of your recipes soon. Thank you so much Jeanelle. Know that your efforts are acknowledged & well appreciated.💚❤💙💞

  2. Liver spread does make the difference. I am a white guy and made this on Christmas Eve for a big dinner we were having. Every person at the party was asking for recipe. Jeanelle is telling the truth! Thanks Jeanell

  3. I don't know how to cook but for some reason I bought an instantpot because I always work on the road I didnt want to spend so much money eating out. Seing this video is def a cheat code for me I'll be able to save up money and atleast avoid fast food hahah!

  4. I like the recipe & you present well. I am just not a big fan of InstaPots…I think it's a lot more work for me to monitor different steps…timings etc. I still like the old fashioned stove top cooking, as I find the meat flavor and consistency is just right.

  5. I've seen a lot of Caldereta Recipes but this by far is the only one that makes sense to me. Thank you for giving small details as to why a certain ingredient is important and how it matters in the overall procedure. I mean I have nothing against other recipes but most of their ingredients are hard to find. I will try this recipe tonight. SUPER THANKS!

  6. I like it when the potato rolls and jumps off cutting board, and you didn’t edit it. That’s what makes your videos good to watch, I enjoy the rawness. how you cut/chop your vegetables, for a person like me who don’t know how to cook but I wanted to learn how to cook and wants everything done perfectly even chopping like a chef lol… watching your videos transform my thinking to “I drop the need to make it perfect in everything I do”. Just do it w passion and authenticity, most importantly enjoy and love what you do! Surely you so love what you do! That what makes your videos so cute and funny, very informative as well. Thank you for yah cooking and food videos. Love it! ♥️♥️♥️
