Sinigang is a Filipino soup or stew characterized by its sour and savoury taste. It is most often associated with tamarind (Filipino: sampalok), although it can use other sour fruits and leaves as the souring agent. It is one of the more popular dishes in Filipino cuisine. While present nationwide, sinigang is seen to be culturally Tagalog in origin. Fish sauce is a common condiment for the stew.

Pag traditional, or lutong matanda, ginigisa namin muna, or sinasang-kutsha, "low and slow" hangang mag sarsa yung onion, tomato, and pork with patis. And so on…
Pag-'palaga', tawag namin ay madaling lutuàn, kasi na late mag luto, 'short cut', and gutom na ang family. Lol
