Lemon Pesto? Our New Favorite Pasta Recipe Comes from Amalfi | Milk Street At Home

In Amalfi, Italy, huge lemons, “sfusato amalfitano,” are made into a Limoncello but, better yet, the peels are ground along with almonds, Parmesan, and oil to make pesto in minutes. Pesto Genovese (basil) is nice but Pesto di Limone is better! Get the recipe:

  1. I did get fresh pine nuts because there's nothing more savory than fresh sweet basil and pine nuts give a mild nutty taste to your pesto sauce. No sugar was added but a tablespoon of fresh Sicilian Lemon juice.
1 table spoon Pink Hemmilayan sea salt.
I boiled the pasta in peeled lemon rinse
Then took it out before adding the pasta.

  2. The recipe is awesome, the camera shake is very dizzying on a large monitor. Use multiple GoPros or move one GoPro on a tripod and cut out the transitions, nothing wrong with cuts 🙂
