I need a lid for my Wok.
That was…wickid!
What kind of oil ya dum B?
Watching this video just totally made my day. Lisa, you are such a perfect blend of personality traits, that you are truly a joy to watch. ATK has such a perfect blend of people and personalities. This video has the rank right up there with the sticky buns episode. Love you guys!
How much popcorn did you put in?
at least the inner lid is clean…. 🙄💩
Um this was delightful
Using a wokt is the only way to make popcorn. Been do it for 30years
Can you use coconut oil?
Oh this is so great… LOL
How much oil to how much corn?
This is the only way I pop corn. I never have an unpopped kernel.
She's such a dork and its so adorable.
I think you could also do this in a saucier
My dad used to make popcorn in a wok when I was a kid he would toss a clove of garlic in while making it though
Fun fact: Lisa went to Brown University
And welcome to another episode of just because we can doesn’t mean we should
Oddly enough, a round bottomed wok on an electric stoves works just as well. It's almost impossible to burn, as all the popped kernels) "float" above the unpopped ones. ie they are lifted out of the hot zone that is just a tiny point of contact. I use my round bottomed wok on a 3 ring gas burner outside, but I make popcorn on an induction cooker with my wok. Only mabe 3cm of the bottom is heated.
Learned this years ago, and I won't buy microwave popcorn ever again
My wife has been popping popcorn in a round bottom wok for many years. By far out favorite method and used weekly here. Put popcorn in pan, put in enough coconut oil and real butter to barely cover the kernels, put lid on, let pop until done. No shaking, now stirring.
surely you jest?
Lisa, can you speak to the corn used? I make popcorn at home on the stove top all the time and it seems that different brands of corn yield really different popcorn. Anything ATK has learned about the kernel itself?? Thank you!
The only thing she didn't do is hit the kernels with some fine salt when she added them.
Growing up, my mom made popcorn on our wok as well as rice crispies.
Awsome
Ahem. Lisa had way too much fun popping the corn without the lid. 😄
Seriously, now I have yet one more thing to make in a wok.
You feed yourself with delicious popcorn and add another seasoning layer to a pan. Brilliant kitchen work.
I doubt I'll ever make popcorn in a wok, but that was fun to watch 🙂
Lisa why can’t we be asked to wash our lid! Honestly single use piece of foil and garbage forever. Let’s get back to basics how hard is it to use warm soapy water? Otherwise great work as always.
This was fun. Thanks for showing the popping without the lid.

Love her face in this video
Please make a video for cooking popcorn in a slow-cooking crockpot — for those of us who aren't in a hurry. Thanks, I'll check back in a couple years.
Isn’t the point of a lid to catch the mess? What’s the point in wasting foil as well
Omg, that was hilarious!!! Thank you for doing that demonstration so we never have to do it at home. 😂😂
easily amused hey Lisa??
We love making our popcorn like this! I make everyone be quiet so I can hear the kernels pop. Haha After the popcorn is ready, I add a piece of butter to the warm wok and then toss the popcorn. Delish!
More cooking videos with Lisa please 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
"I'm gonna get in such trouble"….why, are Bridget, Julia, Dan, Becky, Lan, Elle, Keith, Erin, Adam, and Jack standing around glaring at you tapping their foot? No, we know they're just off camera convulsing in laughter….and so is the "Cooks Country" team…ROTFL

Lisa's a naughty little girl popping popcorn without the lid. So nice to see a person and her personality instead of those innocuous recipes with no face and the bland voice. Great!
