  1. The non stick coating means this is a device, if used frequently, has a 3 year lifespan at best when all the other components would last 30+ years at minimum.

    Sorry but that should be a dealbreaker to anybody. No stainless steel pot, no sale.

  2. I usually agree with y’all but this is a very bad take.

    You can get a 4 quart instant pot with a stainless insert for $89. Why sacrifice the longevity of stainless for the size? Go for a smaller size in a far more premium product. I cook for a family of 7 and I don’t need more than the 4 quart IP Rio. It’s wider and has the same bottom cooking surface as the 6 quart and shallower sides so browning and sauteing are easier as well.
