You’ll need to find a starter, invest in some essential equipment, and set aside three days, but the end result — gorgeous sourdough loaves like the ones you may have seen on social media — is totally worth it.

How much starter per the other ingredients???
this inspired me to make my first bread loaf this week
Claire thx for sharing 👍
Made my first loaf today and it turned out amazing with your recipe and watching this video many times. Thank you so much Claire, you've ignited a new passion in me! All the love from Canada!
I just watched your home version. It was amazing that your narration was so similar and this bread looks delicious.
You are absolutely fabulous in every little detail. We're so lucky to have you. Thank you so very much!
Some people are just gifted teachers. Claire is one of those people. It took me a long time to understand the entire bread baking process. This video gives a wealth of knowledge that is took me years to obtain.
All that said below. You are so affable and likable. Not to leave out adorable (obviously). Detailed and kind with a teachers patience.
Ok, the gentle nudge towards the sticky isn't nearly good enough. I used dark rye flower with my sour dough. This stuff is akin to roof tar. Everything it gets on, paddles, bowls, counter, sink bottom, hands. I probably used 20 gallons of hot water, a plastic scraper, finger nails and dish scrubber to scrub and scratch and scrape anywhere this stuff touched. My hands are red from the hot water and scraping. Consider yourself warned!
I meant 100 grams flour
How much starter do. You add to flour mixture. The 25 starter and 100 water 209 flour
So glad she was so detailed in her explanation! Much appreciated.
Love this lady!!! Thank you for this great video?
Not really loving the video too complicated overstated just sayin I will never make this this way!
Where can I find the recipe with exact measurements and types of flour used
Wonderful, I really enjoyed watching the video, the bread looks delicious🥰😋❤️
How much starter should I add to my autolyse?
Hi! Can you tell me how long dough can stay in the refrigerator? In my case: stay one night – beautifully grown bread. If stay three nights – flat bread. Is three nighs too long? And thank you so much for the recipe and greetings from Poland!
Ok but how do you make the starter
Best video I’ve watched on sourdough!!
I been making my bread 🍞 for several years, I have watch so many many many videos and OMG I have to said this is the most informative video ever.
There’s so much great info here and l love her.
I am so encouraged and inspired.I absolutely love the way that Claire explains everything she does in detail.
How many grams of starter do you use with the 1,000 grams of flour
i love this video claire, but if you are a genuine sourdough beginner i highly recommend starting with this video: https://youtu.be/2FVfJTGpXnU
patrick is excellent at encouragement and getting you started. it is not the perfect sourdough recipe but it will work! i made my own starter from his guide, i made my first loaf and it was not perfect but was delicious! and it did work!!
YOGA is conjob. Have you seen fat guy do yoga?
Is she gonna teach us how to make a starter no video has taught us
FINALLY
I made my bread following Claire's instructions step by step and it's absolutely perfect! Thank you
Really glad to see Claire again 🙂
She is under fermenting her dough. That’s why she has massive air pockets. Welcome to baking Claire
THE DRIPPING SINK
I would like to know, how long do you keep the loafs in the fridge before baking them. Lets say I want them to bake the same day. One hour? Or longer? Thanks for helping me.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
"I don't do yoga, I make bread." It's nice to know other people feel this way, too
I named my starter "STARTER" too!❤
i feed my started sometimes 1 at 3 months… it needs 2-3 days maybe 4 before it "wakes up" again… but is not the same after… you gotta feed it every day for several times before you get tge old normal sourdough started with simillar properties …
whatever u do nake sure you only use white wheat flour .. never whole wheat or rye cos that one will forever change the properties from the original starter
When the air gaps are that big how do you even put butter on it?
Claire, the Bread Genius<
Our starter is called Bob.
He's English and is very sarcastic.
I do miss her and the guy from “it’s alive” making stuff together
im going to make this bread, buy some expensive sandwich meat, and make the ultimate sammich
Maintaining started every week seemed like a lot especially if you don’t make bread often can you freeze it?
Good information, but way too advanced for a beginner. Much better videos out there if you just want to make a quick bread.
Claire, I'm sorry…..I gave you shit for not knowing how to temper chocolate a couple years ago…..but hot damn, your bread looks amazing
