Masala Prawns Recipe

Ingredients:
– 400g prawns
– 1 pc big onion
– 1 tbsp. ginger garlic paste
– 3 pcs dry chili
– 3 pcs green chili
– 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
– 1 tbsp. chili powder
– 1/2 tbsp. coriander powder
– 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
– 1/4 tsp black pepper
– 1/4 cumin powder
– 1/4 cup tamarind juice
– Salt
– 4 tbsp. gingelly oil
– 1/4 tsp fennel seeds

Method:
– Into a pan, add in 4 tbsp. gingelly oil
– Then add in 1/4 tsp fennel seeds and toss it around
– Followed by 1 pc chopped onion, sauté it and add in some salt to taste
– Then add in 3 pcs of chopped dry chili
– 3 pcs of chopped green chili
– Some curry leaves and sauté it all together
– Once the onions are brown, add in 1 tbsp. of ginger garlic paste
– Followed by 1 tbsp. of chili powder
– 1/2 tbsp. of coriander powder
– 1/4 tsp of black pepper
– 1/4 tsp of cumin powder
– 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder
– Mix all of the spices together
– Then add in 400g of prawns
– Add in some water and mix the prawns well with the spices
– Add in more water if necessary and continue mixing
– Once the prawns have turned in color add in 1/4 cup of tamarind juice
– Give it one final stir and leave it to boil
– Turn off the stove when it comes to a boil as prawns don’t take long to cook
– Masala Prawns is ready!
