It’s beautiful. I just wonder how the temp carry-over is handled by the controller /fan.
But what if i want a wood smoke flavor could i add wood chips to it too?
Will the power cord for the digital controller and the fan work if connected to a 220v wall outlet?
The best smoker/grill I have purchased so far!
Humble apologies if someone has asked this question before, but what are the specific improvements or upgrades that Masterbuilt have incorporated in the most recent variants of the GS 800 & GS 1050 compared to the original designs?
Wonder whether there are heavier duty, any third-party rotisserie kits capable of supporting spit roasts of 20kgs/44lbs or more suitable for use with the GS 1050? Or will MB be producing a heavier duty GS compatible rotisserie kits in the future?
Also like to know if & when MB will produce the griddle plate & accompanying manifold for the GS 1050?
Best regards.
Bob
I want to buy one with shipping to Mexico, please contact someone to help me
My temp control doesn't work where can I order a replacement?
Question. Can you add wood chucks for added flavor in the hopper?
I love this machine it's the best … the only bad side the hopper internal material is cheap and the inner metal warps which decreases the space for brickettes
im deciding on a weber and or this. so far. anyone ever have problems trying to find charcoal?
I just purchased the gravity fed 1050 I cannot get the digital display to work , it turns on but can't set the temperature. Any recommendations this is brand new never cooked on
Kathy
So how do you keep the entire column of charcoal from getting lit from the bottom up like a chimney starter?
Does it come with a griddle plate?
Does the 1050 come with the griddle?
Hi there -i have a 1050 Gravity series – i cannot get a nice bark – tried 275 -300 degrees on ribs and pork but – placed on lower and middle rack – close to the smoke vent – got same mushy feel – any idea?
these are our best sellers here in the UK!
Anyone having issues with it after some years of use ? I already saw some video's about melting wiring and warping metal in the coal shoot due to heat, its making me very hesitant to purchase
I ordered the 1050 last week. Can't wait to smoke and grill with it.
Have you ever thought of a 1300 or an 1800 gravity flow
Does this require electricity? To be clearer, for this machine to work, does it need to be plugged in to an electrical outlet for electricity so its electrical parts can work? Or, just charcoal? Just gravity?
Are you able to add wood or anything? I have a MB electric smoker now and would be sad to lose out on the ability to use wood.
Just got one and now I'm the coolest kid on the block. I'm 32…😎
Masterbuilt – Question: With the 1050 put together and if you wanted to take it somewhere would you be able to lay it on its back on a blanket in the bed of the Truck to haul or would you have to stand it up and strap it down > Didn't know if it would hurt anything laying on its back along with taking the grates out… ? Your thoughts would help – I am going to be buying one soon…
Do you just throw wood chunks in with the charcoal?
Had the 560, recently got the larger 1050. Fantastic cookers.
I want the 800 sooooo bad!!!
Amazing !!!!!!!!
This thing is built so badly it is sad. Mine is covered and under a shelter and is a complete rust bucket. Go back to the drawing board and actually use quality materials.
I own one of these Smokers….ever since I've got this…it has changed my cooking game drastically!!!
Hey guys well love all your products and last night we had a mini gathering Covid protected😷 and since all my family is Hispanic and we love charcoal a question popped out can you make carne asada with a perfect sear with same exact taste as in a regular charcoal grill if so maybe upload a video while family want yo see and if so we gonna buy lotz of grills for sure plz if so no disrespect if you do the video do a real Hispanic xarne asada where the meat is fully cooked lol. 😁
Just bought the 1050 yesterday and I am assembling it and i find they have sent the wrong piece (#51). Called and got due to covid i need to contact them by web page. Will contact them but will continue to put it together (its a beauty piece) but not happy i need to even get ahold of them
So two questions:
1. If your not near power source how do you get power to the digitals and the fan?
2. When done grilling what happens to the remaining coal in the shoot?
Just bought it…arrives next week! I literally can't wait. Never smoked anything ever before so this will be a learning experience.
