I’m a gay former Mormon. And trust me, I know all the markings of a cult. I steer very clear of gender ideology. This makes me somewhat of a pariah in gay spaces, which I don’t care. Homosexuality, while still contented in the moral sphere, is undeniably empirical. Gender extremists have appropriated common experiences of gay people (being closeted, feeling different from peers etc) and launched the entire gay rights enterprise into a delusional, postmodern hell. I want nothing to do with any of this. I want to marry a man, have a family, and keep to myself. I joined a sports league recently to meet more men, and was instantly snuffed out when I refused to wear my pronouns. It’s a cult. But most people in cults don’t know any better. Education is key.
