3 ripe bananas, mashed with a fork
½ cup butter (1 stick) at room temperature
3/4 cup white sugar (or use 1 scant cup of honey)
2 eggs, room temperature
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
½ tsp real vanilla extract
1 cup walnuts, toasted and coarsely chopped
½ cup raisins

i made some bread but It did not raise, its clump, what did i do wrong? i left It 55 mins on the oven but when i poke It It was cooked, might be the baking powder?

i need a banana bread recipe and i picked yours, I had 11 mid. bananas so i tripled the recipe, used two sticks butter and 1/2 cup coconut oil, i always double the soda to get a lighter fluffier higher loaf, with toasted chopped pecans, no raisins, parchment on bottom, three loaves came out perfect, lov banana bread. thank you, God bless

So good, I switched out the raisins for 3/4 cup of chocolate chips and added some Cinimon so good great recipe! 😊
Here's a hint. Only grease the bottom of the pan. Never the sides. You'll avoid that hard crusty rim around the top. I sometimes use rum extract or banana extract.
