Naan is ummmmmm not gud
This is purely a result of my privilege but i generally tandoor my chicken instead of frying it. It adds a whole smoky layer to my butter chicken.
Also, generally when you make butter chicken in india, it is spicy, unlike the sweet curry you get in most foreign countries, the sugar is not always used.
If you feel the need to add sugar to negate the acidity and sourness of your tomato… Fam just cook your tomato longer, the deeper the color, the sweeter and non-sour its gotten.
Im not a professional, this is just the way i cook it, and im indian.
