  2. Looks like my mothers lemon
    cheesecake. She was Italian.
She learned most of her cooking
    skills from my Nana Giordano.
She was from Trento, in the
    northeast region. All redheads,
    and dark auburn brunette’s
    with blue/green eyes. She and
my pop pop, came to the U.S. in
the late 1880’s, they settled in
    Trenton, New Jersey. I learned
to cook at the elbow of my mother.
I believe that’s tradition with we
    Italians.

You watch and learn. I took notes,
so I would not forget anything. It’s
so ingrained in me that I could cook
in my sleep. If one loves sublime
food, you pay attention when you
have the best person cooking for
you, and the family. My father was
    Welsh, Serb/Croat, German, and
he learned from my mother, but
    expanded his knowledge so he
became the primary cook in the
    house when he retired early.

My mother was an Organic Chemist.
She ran a blood bank and use to
come home and cook dinner after
a long day at the lab. My father
    took over the responsibility of
    making the most fabulous things.
His best dish’s were linguine and
red clam sauce, and linguine a la
    puttanesca. When he made those
for dinner no one was ever late.

My Nana would have been proud
of my non Italian father. He adored
my mother. He called her his ‘green
eyed Italian girl’. I was the baby of
the family, and the only daughter
who looked like mother. My older
sister was blonde and Slavic in her
    appearance, with bluish green eyes.
I had my mother’s true green eyes.
My father called us cat eyed. I guess
the mossy jade with amber flecks
around my iris gave the appearance
of being catlike. I did see better in
    low light though.

Keep cooking Bellissima …! You are
    my favorite woman on YouTube.
You’re so much fun to watch.✨☺️
