Lone Star Grillz Santa Maria Grill is completely different than LSG offset smoker. Santa Maria Style Cooking using real logs to create coals and therefore Santa Maria grilling is about as primal & immersive as it gets. In a world that values “set it and forget it” this could not be more opposite… Is Santa Maria Cooking right for you?

Man Justin now that was a walk around review right there Folks!! You are correct, I love cooking prime rib!!! ha ha Thank you for introducing me to all the Maniac's, oh wait Hi Maniac's nice to meet you!!!!!! haha The LSG Santa Maria is so much fun to cook on and the wood flavor is so amazing!!! If you enjoy cooking this pit should be on everyone's bucket list because the satisfaction you get after a job well done is very hard to match!! Great video bud and I really am happy to hear that I am not a communist!!!! hahahahaha
I'm from Santa Maria I have this and the best wood to smoke is oak wood 🔥🔥🔥🔥 trust me 🙏🏼
Being Puerto Rican it annoys me the way he says Santa maria and plancha and any other Spanish words
Does the grate go below the top of the gill?
Love the grill. I have the 48 inch lone star Santa maria grill,, so happy with the grill
Hey Justin, been a fan for years and love your channel but I have a question.. ok 2…or 3? first is when are you going to drop a video with the LSG El Patron? I've watched Chris Goodlanders's videos on it several times but I need to see real world youtubers cooking on it. 🙂 2nd is because I'm shopping for the El Patron what is your feeling on the carbon steel 1/2 square grates that are on your LSG Santa Maria after a couple years? the El Patron comes with the same but has an upgrade to SS for $650 which is a pretty big step up so I want to know if you had the option on the SM would you have paid for the SS upgrade? Thanks and keep putting out great content my friend.
"If that's something that's not you, then you might be communist." 😂😂😂
Great…Show rottesiery grill please

Hi, did you UPGRADE THE THICKNESS TO 3/16'' FIRE BOX WITH FIRE BRICK BOTTOM?
My dream set up.
This is a great video my man! I love it I want one of these so bad!
Do you have a video of cooking on it? I’m interested in getting one
What about a cover?
The Charcoal grill NEED UP-GRADE T IS ONLY FOR 6 MONTH
WITH THE CHARCOAL ON A WIRE MESS
AND YOU NEED ALL THE HEAT GOING TO THE TOP
NOT TO THE BOTTOM
CALL AN EXPERT FOR THAT VERY SERIOUS ISSUE
Your description of the Santa Maria type grill being a "set it and forget it" type grill is well said. The ergonomically friendly campfire is spot on too 🙂
The rods on the cooking grate are to wide you'll be frying your food instead of grilling. Rods should be rounded 1/4, 3/8 or even 1/2 stainless steel….
i see ribs being cooked in this video, did you make a standalone video on that cook?
Might be communist lol. Great review I'm getting one!
I bought one in Mexico. Was handmade and has a little door under to kinda cook stuff in there. I love to cooking this weight
I like theirs, but I really need one with a height adjustable rotisserie
that thing is dope
Serious question. What’s the total height to the top of the wheel? Want to order one but not sure it will fit in garage. My garage is 82in
The only issue I see with this grill is the expanded metal for the hot coals. This will not last long. I would use either small bar stock or angel iron like the V grate but smaller size. I have used expanded metal like what is shown here but it has not lasted more than 2 years before it wears away and there is a big hole.
I want one!
Hey Justin! Because I live in a big city I have no possibility to use such a grill, but I keep dreaming about it. So I watch videos all the time about these grills and I always come back to your's wich is very fun and informative! I wish one day I can get to cook on something like this, but in the meantime, I use my Weber attachement and it "does the job". Cheers mate!
getting mine this spring
Do you recommend including the side-mounted Brasero or grate-mounted Brasero to an order for the Lone Star Grillz Santa Maria?
How tall is it to the top of the wheel? I didn't think about clearance…..
Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
Nice video, can't wait to get one of my own!
I have a LSG 24×48 offset . I really want this to !!
Santa Maria is not meant to be bougie. I live lone star grillz but I think they overcomplicated it. They removed the simplicity of a Santa Maria grill. Hey Texas, stick with smokers! 🤪
That looks awesome love cooking like that brings you back to nature lol
Have you tried cooking a butterflied leg of lamb on it. Just the best way and try and find some African Sekelbos Braai wood to cook over. Love your videos bro 😎 if you got any stickers would love one to stick on my Harley Bagger 😎👍
