New Traeger Woodridge Pellet Grill First Look and Walk Around Review

The New Traeger Woodridge series has 3 different models to choose from! This is giving Traeger more of a selection of the new body style for everyone’s budget!
The new Woodridge is by far the quietest pellet grill I have ever ran and the base model does a good job smoking BBQ. The Woodridge Pro and The Elite have more features, plus they are a tad bigger.
I think the Traeger Woodridge base model is perfect for someone that is just getting into smoking BBQ and wants to have a few of the newer creature comforts on their first pellet grill!

  1. Good Morning Ricer. I guess Weber also brought out a new pellet grill – The Weber Smoque. Will you get one and let us know if the new “smoke circulation” system is better than the Searwood? Looks just like a Searwood, but the internals are a little different. Let us know. PS – great review on the Traeger, thanks!

  2. Ricer, that sounded to me like you didn’t like it at all….you were trying to be nice to keep getting shipped the freebies. I ditched Traeger years ago. Quality lacking and pricing got nuts. Traeger gotta get in the boardroom and figure some things out. Too bad. I now have a Pitboss Pro Series 1600 V3 for half the price of a new much smaller Ironwood. Larger hopper, double wall steel insulated with oven seal, side shelf, front shelf, bottom shelf, cover, pull out racks, quick igniter, easy ash dump, and just overall way heavier (thing is a beast). Also, came with a super heavy griddle insert. I did spend a few more bucks and got a flame tamer and gap deflector from Smokes Like A Boss. Makes the Pitboss damn near perfect. Pitboss seems to be way bigger bang for my hard earned buck. I am in Canada so things are a little more up here, but my Pitboss was $1700 and I got on sale for $1500. Traeger Ironwood is around $3000. No thanks.

  3. As much as I love my traeger. The kamado is my go-to. Smoke flavor and getting close to the set & forget perk. The price is good, but the for the sake of staying on pellet grills, I'd go for the Woodwind smokers.
