How long did you cook that at 350 on smoker?
Looks like an absolute disaster!!
Why don't you just use the cooking instructions from Ninja?
It seems in every video you put out, nothing is quite right..
Looks delicious can't wait to try it
Damn nice!
How long was the entire cook?
Was this whole chicken done with the smaller woodfire grill?
This is what I have. Thanks,
Hopefully, my 5 1/2 pound Turkey breast will fit without cutting it up to fit.
Thank you for not squeezing your meat on cam 😂
Made this many times using your recipe. It is the greatest. I’m making two next time because there are never any leftovers! Thank you.
I’m gonna try to smoke a chicken tomorrow 4 1/2 pounds. Would you keep it at 400° or lower the temperature I’ve seen other videos they’ve done it at 3:25 even more than that.
Does the smoke penetrate the skin? I mean if you peel the skin, does the breast taste smoky?
“Happy little mistakes” 😂
Gotta like the Bob Ross reference lol
I smoked a whole chicken today using the bbq spice mix recipe that’s given in the booklet that came with the grill, and it was epic. And whilst the chicken was resting I turned the grill to its air fryer setting and cooked veg, potatoes and Yorkshire puddings in it which only took about 25 mins. Incredible dinner. I love my Ninja Woodfire Grill.
CJ I smoke the chicken tasted delicious but the skin was a little soggy not crispy. Does it make sense to smoke it to 125 and then turn the air on make the skin crusty?
Curious, why the duck fat? In hopes of getting a crispy skin? I would think that's probably why the skin split and had the opposite result? Might be worth a test.
Also, may want to check the depth of the tempspike, looks like it wasn't deep enough.
At any rate, thanks for the video, my next cook.
Dam nice video
Great information
I bet it tastes good with a bottle of wine
CJ I just got a ninja XL connect about a month ago . The Ninja folks are great they upgraded being I had just bought the smaller no Bluetooth. I asked sales guy if this was the latest and said yes and then tried to sell me time share. Called and complained they took care of it sent me the latest and greatest. Very happy they came through.. Big difference between the two! Anyway all good! I’ve been watching your videos and I smoked the chicken today. It came out absolutely perfect. Followed your directions almost all the way except they put the chicken on a wired basket. I thought that would give it a better cook, but I should’ve left it on the grill correct.? the bottom was a little soggy. Let me know But I have to tell you otherwise it came out perfect I love your channel. Keep up the good stuff!
How long does it take to cook that chicken in there, I just need know how long so know when to start
How long total did u smoke the chicken?
what was the total cook time? thank you!
Unfortunately I can’t buy duck fat spray here and it’s too expensive to buy from Amazon as I’m in Canada. What would be a good substitute?
Your channel is the best! I’m doing the chicken today ❤
Top video
You would get better results if you put a lemon or two inside the chicken! Just saying.
What’s the chicken temp supposed to be?
I quick “smoked” some salmon and chicken wings for dinner and it was delicious.. this will be a very used tool for us!
Bro deff smoked up and out 😂
So glad I found your channel! I just got the XL Pro Connect, got my first clean pass done on the grill and crisper basket.. tonight we're going easy.. burgers.. then a few days, Pork Butt! Thanks for putting together a great channel with easy to follow instructions! And don't care what the "talks too much" haters say.. you can't teach without talking!
Thank you
Your rapid heavy editing gets me dizzy
Could you use the air fryer function but turn the smoker on for a quicker result?
So 350° but for how much time more or less?
I cook do mines at 200 for hr or lil more then hit it to 325 untill done
Smoked up and smoked out😊
Hey CJ, thanks for the great chicken prep video! Really enjoying your content. Appreciate your listing what you use also. Quick question you may have answered (I'm still catching up with your videos). Do you ever have to prep the grill plate on the woodfire grill to prevent food sticking? Thanks & keep em coming!!!!
I am making this tonight actually just got a new ninja
That looks incredible
You the Man
I have cooked 2 things on my new Ninja Wood Fire Grill. On the smoke cycle they get to black. How do you keep it from getting so dark? Your chicken looked beautiful.
At 160*F before removing bird – leave in Woodfire with lid up and airfry for a minute or two…that skin gets crisp.
How long to cook the chicken?
Did u cook the bird for 4hrs total
Hi CJ, can I brine my chicken before I grill, or will it not cook fully if I do this? Thanks for your great helpful videos.😊
Hey I recently tried cooking with this method but the color of it was almost black and had an intense overbearing smoke flavor to it. The rub I used didn't have any sugar so I'm confused why it turned out like that?
how about covering the breast loosely with foil in the beginning then take off to brown up halfway through it ???
Happy accidents breaking out all over
Thank you for the video and tips, CJ. I made my first smoked chicken after filling your video in my woodfire. May have been one of the best things I have made. I will be following and trying new recipes!!! Phenomenal!
I just got my grill from Kohl’s. I got 30% off. YEAH ME! I love your channel. Old G subscriber here. Thank you for teaching us. Thank you.
What if I just did some leg quarters, what time should I smoke for ?
