This is a vintage recipe for Orange Cranberry Nut Bread that my mom used to make every year around Christmas time. She often gave small loaves of it to friends and family members who loved it. It is delicious with a cup of tea or coffee as dessert, a snack, or breakfast.

I just made a bunch of mini cranberry orange loaves for gifts. I love nuts, but so many cant have them, I left them out. I tried something new, I make orange marmalade all the time, so I warmed some and then glazed the loaves with it. It looks nice with the little orange bits and the red cranberry showing through here and there! Thanks for the recipe Grandma Feral! I love seeing how others make things! Bless you!
I really enjoyed watching this video and burst out laughing when I saw grandpas shirt!
Grandma says, "How do you like it Johnny O.", I says "It won't take me a minute to tell you Ma"! I can almost taste it from here Grandma, and it did look so beautiful on that fancy serving platter! 🍽☕❤
This looks so warm and wonderful. I’m going to have to give this one a try. Thanks! ❤
😊👍👍👍👍😋
Merry Christmas to you and Grandpa! My momma and I sure do enjoy your videos and playful banter❤
Another great video! I wish I could smell the finished bread.
Thank you Grandma and Grandpa! I'm making this today!!
I didn't know cranberries were so big. Love Grandpa's shirt! Walnuts are great in banana bread also. Looked great Grandma.

Hiya Grandma!! This looks very nice! I love fruit and nuts together! However, I never have liked the fruit n nut xmas cake. Lol Your baking is yummy! Grandpa very lucky man! Oh and Grandpa's tshirt is funny! I think we all need a hug now n then! Hugs to both You and Grandpa! Cheers! See you tmw!! Woohoo
Oh, I just love orange and cranberry together! This looks so good, and reminds me of all the baking I used to do when my folks were still living. I made a lot of quick breads, and also made muffins every weekend (usually bran or orange cranberry). Not really supposed to be eating that sort of stuff now, but it is so tempting, especially since it's perfect for this festive time of year.
I got to the new store today. Really nice!👍 Very happy to have a full service grocery nearby again.😀
This is a wonderful recipe. My grandmother and mother made this quick bread for Christmas, too. I recall just grinding the cranberries in a hand grinder. We would usually use pecans or black walnuts instead of English walnuts, which would change the nut flavor. But it should be good with hazelnuts, almonds or any other hard nut. I'll try this with a super-ripe banana instead of the egg this weekend. Thanks so much for these wonderful memories and the look back into the recipes and memories of your Grandma and Grandpa.
Please tell us if Grandma was using a convection oven (based on the sound that it makes as it's heating). That will impact the baking temperature, as a convection oven will usually bake at 25 degree-F lower than a conventional oven for the same baking time. But all ovens bake differently because of temperature regulation and temperature uniformity differences.
Yum, Grandma! I am adding this to my quick bread recipes! Our orange tree is now producing beautiful oranges (California Decembers have a lot of sunshine still!) so this is a great recipe for us!
Oh my goodness, my baby sister used to make this for me every single Christmas – I've never tasted anything so divine in my life, it was my absolute favorite. She went to Heaven last year before the holidays and I've not had it since…..thank you so much for posting and showing me how to make it! I will be making this in her honor and hope to do her proud 🥹🙏😇 Love you both Grandma and Grandpa, Merry Christmas ❤️🎄
This looks good! I've been thinking of doing some baking and projects to try and get some Christmas’s spirit. It just doesn't feel like Christmas at all. Hope your in the Christmas spirit!
I love all your videos and you and grandpa are the cutest couple. Have a Merry Christmas.
ALWAYS ENJOY your little videos.
I'm curious if the cranberries and the sugar balance in flavor?
Tart and sweet enough???
Looks delicious 😋
Grandma that’s looks delicious and festive! I bet this would be good to have a slice toasted with butter on it. I do that with banana bread when I can get my hands on it. Now I am going to have to see if I can make some. 😅 nice shirt Grandpa, very in the season and can you believe it’s going to be Christmas next week already …. It’s just flying…. Thanks for all your hard work making and posting these great videos ! …Brian
Looks delicious! Thank you Grandma and Grandpa 💗🎄❄️☃️
What a nice looking cake and recipe grandma. I’ll take a slice with some tea please 😊. It looked like fruit cake when you sliced it. I recognized the mixing bowels as we had the same ones with the winged ends in green. Thanks for the memories and be carful with the bad weather on its way in week or so. Be well, be safe.❤
Yum not like a fruitcake
Had to watch again to write it down. 😊 I bet you could do lemon & blueberry too!
