The method cleaner does it matter which scent. Lavender. Grapefruit. ?
How do y’all wash your dish towels? I can’t get the stains out of mine to save my life, and I can’t warrant spending the $ on more Williams Sonoma towels until I figure that out!
I haven’t used a sponge in years, but I bought the scrunge and I love it!
I wouldn't pay over $30 for a garbage can. But it it lasted for 10 years like her, I would. But not over $100.
I freaking love Americas Test Kitchen. I feel like I'm stealing from them by being able watching all their wonderful content for free YouTube. 😉
The Williams Sonoma towels are the worst. Unless you LOVE ironing the hem as it curls up EVERY SINGLE wash. They look great until you wash them. I use them anyway since I bought two packs, (sadly) but I hate the way the look on the kitchen counter because of the hemline of every single towel.
How come you don’t mention that nothing is sponsored, or product placemat
I love the hostess! She is fun watch
I am getting old when I am watching a video on a garbage can and dish clothes 🤣 but I like Lisa’s videos….she is informative but she comes across like your own good friend
I have had my Simple Human trash can for 10 years and its the BEST!. Still looks great and stylish(for a trash can). I used to work for WS so I can vouch for the kitchen towels I have had some for almost 20 years and they are still going strong. Great job ATK!!
yay i love these kinds of videos. my sister swears by williams-sonoma's kitchen towels and bought me a set for my first ever solo place!
would still love to see a video where the ATK tests out all the different types of towels just because i love watching lisa and the crew 🙂 happy thanksgiving all!
Yes! My FAVORITE show!!
I want to like the Method cleaners, or Mrs. Meyer’s, which I also see recommended frequently. The scents are just too strong and cloying. I wish the “natural” companies would offer something less aggressive smelling.
I started using the ocedar sponges because of their reviews and absolutely LOVE them
We've had our Simple Human trash cans for nearly 9 years and it was one of the best investments we've made for our kitchen. So do yourself a favor and invest in one cuz you'll have it for years and it always looks nice.
Now I'm off to purchase those kitchen towels.
I started using the Scrunge because of ATK and couldn't be more pleased. It's so much better than any other sponge I've used in my kitchen (feels strange to praise a sponge but oh well). I disagree about Method, though. I've found it very ordinary and prefer Mrs Meyers all purpose cleaner–or even better and more economically, a diluted spray bottle of their concentrate. I use all the other products here, though, because you guys rarely steer me wrong.
Is there an Amazon equivalent to the kitchen towels?
My favorite kitchen towels are also the williams sonoma. They are worth the price
I love my simple human and there bags.
Be careful with big trashcans if you're not producing a enough trash to take out the bag often enough. Good way to get maggots by accident if a fly slips in.
That method cleaner works great I even replaced my toothpaste with it.
I love the WS dish towels….and would LOVE to know how to keep them nice. I’ve had mine several months and already stained them up w/ kitchen foods. Ugh!
I have kitchen towels which are not as nice as the ones in the video, so what … I can't say anything abut the Method cleaner, that seems to be product placement. Any dish detergent and if needed, a chlorine abrasive product will do your cleaning. I do not like smells in the kitchen, except food smells.
Now… two things. You don't need a fancy sponge or a sponge of any kind. Go to the auto parts store and get a couple of packages of shop rags, which should cost you less than $15. You can use them instead of the sponge and instead of paper towels. Then you wash them and reuse them.
The second thing is the trash can. There is a temptation to fill it up before you empty it, and by that time it stinks. I have a 2-gallon can with a pedal and a lid, and I have to empty it every couple of days or so. Getting rid of trash more often not only prevents smalls but it's important in Texas not to attract cockroaches.
You turned me on to the scrunge, without a doubt, the best.
I love America's Test Kitchen and Cook's Country. Always enjoyable to watch, with clear presentation and expert explanation of everything they do. Thank you! 👍🏆
I'll have to try those kitchen towels. I do love my Simplehuman trash can. Kids can be hard on them and ours still looks and works as it did when we purchased it. We like the Method cleaner too. I have one kid who loves to wipe the kitchen down with cleaner and because it's more natural than others I don't worry so much about her using it.
Gotta agree on the dishtowels👍👍👍👍
I LOVE Simple Human and their trash bags! I will have to try Method cleaner.
I love Lisa’s hair here! Very glamourous!
MRS MEYERS IS THE BEST
How do you clean the inside bottom of the Vitamix? It is one piece and the blades do not come out.
When sprayed on counter surface, it will pick up the flavor, like perfume taste on spoon. I use in sink only, for smell.
I bought the sponges a couple years ago when they talked about them, and I'll never buy a different type ever again. They last a long time and never smell funny.
😳
Thank you for this
