Oooh, this was one I suggested! I knew they'd like it, since it can be made like this, essentially curry-fashion (meat and veg cut up together in sauce). Also popular as a sandwich on a long Italian bread roll, using whole sausage, essentially hot dog-fashion. If you use red and green peppers and white onions, you have the colors of the Italian flag.🇮🇹
I have been to the Feast of San Gennaro, in Little Italy, which is in lower Manhattan, New York City (held there nearly every September since 1926)…and have enjoyed the sausage and pepper sandwiches served at street stands there (among other great food on the street and in restaurants all around). A great Italian-American and New York tradition, brought over from Naples, Italy. (Saint Gennaro is the patron saint of Naples.) The food also came over with Italian immigrants who settled in the area in the early 20th century. My own family roots actually come through Little Italy during that same time period, circa 1900.🇮🇹🇺🇲
But another ATK frying pan tips video says don't put anything in the pan — including butter, oil, foods — until the dry pan is already quite hot, usually about 3 to 4 minutes. I found this technique to work great, something I wish I knew about 30 years ago.
Oh you started a war by claiming you got the perfect fried eggs… with something as subjective as fried eggs EVERYONE will be coming for you, including me. where is the butter baste, brother???
Nonstick forever chemicals! No! Nonstick PTFE and ceramic wear out quickly and PTFE pans cannot be recycled. Use carbon steel for natural nonstick. You can hand it down to your grandchildren instead of poisoning their planet.
I can't believe people are still using those freekin nonstick pans. The industry says they are safe and everyone believes it. The industry says jump into the fire and everyone jumps. Meanwhile, I stick to my "nonstick" cast-iron pans 😊
Do it the Asian way, get that pan smoking hot then add oil n butter, then eggs, then lid. Those edges will get brown n crispy on the ends. He's right about leaving them with a lid for 1 minute tho. That's how you cook the yolk on top. Steam.
Nonono ., cook more , flip it.., we call this "plain egg omelette" , mix it with chopped onion, green chilli, little grated garlic, coriander leaves and a bit of garam masala .. 🤤🤤😋 Perfect..
Carbon steel pans make the best crispy edges

Nope.
aye ok then
Crispy anything on an egg is a hard no.
Nice video!
People throwing sass about the "crisp edges" because they think it has to be tough and brown😏

Gahh 😢
Say no to non stick pans.
Why not season the rest of the egg?
Just crack the eggs into the pan and eat it. 😊
Closer to sunny side or over easy. Definitely not fried
Nice
The edges don't look crispy
This has to be engagement farming
What is it about runny, uncooked yolks? Well done fried eggs, please!
I prefer the white to be all crispy crackly.
Got to give the yolks time to skim over white. They’ll still be runny and they won’t taste like raw eggs smell.
Not really perfect for my taste!
Where did the crispy edges go?
those yolks are cold AF. Just flip them for total of 5 seconds
and they are perfect

Those edges are anything but crisp but that is a good thing. I don’t understand anyone who actually likes crisp egg edges.

Barely fried steamed eggs aren't.

I like the whites fully cooked.
Nope! I need my whites crispy with a runny yolk 😋
2 minutes for a fried eggs isn't enough to get crisp edges. Especially when one minute is off heat. Need at least one more minute on heat.

Lol roasted

And you ruined everything by using oil….
