The McRib from McDonald’s has some extreme popularity – when you can get them! But… if you’re plant based, you’re out of luck all the time for one. So… let’s make a McRib of our own, from seitan. Oh, and a homemade barbecue sauce too!

Ingredients:
[one large “rib”]
3 oz Green Jackfruit:
1/4 Cup Vital Wheat Gluten:
1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder:
1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder:
1 teaspoon Nutritional Yeast:
1/2 teaspoon Brown Sugar:
1/2 teaspoon Smoked Paprika:
1/2 teaspoon Beet Root Powder:
1/2 teaspoon White Wine Vinegar:
1/2 teaspoon Sesame Oil:
1/4 teaspoon Liquid Smoke:
1/4 Cup Water
[BBQ Sauce]
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Ketchup:
1/2 teaspoon Chipotle Chili Powder:
1/2 Tablespoon Soy Sauce:
1 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar:
1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/2 teaspoon Liquid Smoke
Black Pepper
