  1. Love it! People tend to complicate recipes. Simple is great! I have had some VERY complicated dishes that just had layers that developed over minutes, which is also appreciated. Love your style! Especially for a Canuck!

  3. My great-uncle was a famous chef in southeast Louisiana. He had a cooking show on television. He has 22 cookbooks that were published. He was a chef at Commander's Palace for a few years.
    He and his friends would BBQ at some BBQ competitions every month. This is way back before social media was a thing. He passed 5 years ago. I showed him many videos on YouTube with people dumping mustard on good meat. He was 88 years old. His words not mine he asked if "those people were on dope" by doing that as a so-called binder. He made me laugh by saying my generation needs help. He said in his day that was unheard of. They used honey, molasses, BBQ sauce and something else to hold seasoning on the meat.
    I explained to him that mustard became popular because of social media.
    I always say people have the right to spend money they feel like they wish to.
