About the PK 360 Charcoal grill:
Large Cooking Surface – At 360 square inches the PK360 is nearly 40% larger than the most popular Big Green Egg size, the 18-inch Large.
Super Versatile – PK360 demonstrates exceptional performance in both hot and fast (grilling) or low and slow (barbecue) cooking situations. Its unique capsule shape makes one-zone and two-zone cooking setups easy and fun.
Competition Quality – PK Grills cast aluminum has proven to be the competitors choice in steak competitions across the U.S. The 2014, 2015 and 2016 SCA World Championship Steaks were all cooked on a PK Grill. Competitors love it, but it’s still so easy to use that a beginner can make a great steak the first time.
Durable – PK360s cast aluminum construction is more durable than porcelain Kamados which can be fragile. PK Grills are often lifetime purchases handed down from one generation to the next. Every new PK has the potential to become an heirloom grill.
Easy & Precise Temperature Management – The PK360s combination of thick cast aluminum and 4-way venting provides users a with a very heat efficient cook chamber with easy 2-zone set-up and more control than single-vent Kamados.
Ergonomics – The PK360 includes two giant, 230 square inch, removable Durabilium ™ shelves with a unique Leading Edge wire system for hanging accessories, offering maximum function for prep and cooking.
Ash Management – The PK360 has incorporated a unique ash management solution which controls ash within the cook chamber without allowing it to interfere with air flow.
Portable – As with all PKs, the PK360 detaches from its stand easily so you can take it with you. Great for tailgating, camping, fishing/hunting cabins, etc. Try that with a heavy Kamado.
Marine Grade Stainless Steel – We didn’t compromise on the quality materials that went into the PK360. Both the hinged cooking surface and the lower charcoal grate are made from the highest quality stainless steel available – Marine Grade.
Ultra-tough Durabilium Shelf kit – The unique, black shelves on the new PK360 are formed of a high-end, engineered, glass-fiber reinforced polyester material that is highly heat resistant, super durable and easy to clean. The shelves are removable and designed to stow using the integrated side handle hooks on the PK. These durable shelves provide a no-nonsense, weather-proof workspace for your PK360 at home, on the road or trail.
Beautifully Designed – The PK360 raises the design bar for the charcoal grill industry. The core; the cast aluminum grill capsule identifies this grill immediately as a PK. The addition of great design features, like the beautifully simple pedestal stand, the unique and user-friendly cylindrical air intake controls, elegant but tough as nails Durabilium shelves and thoughtful details like the accessory bar, lock/release hinges and rear stabilizer hooks will make it a high end object of desire.

VERY EXPENSIVE!!!!
Love it!! I used to use a propane grill and after using my Weber, the food just tastes so much better and the temp MyBest.Kitchen control is so easy! Will never use a propane grill again!
So you guys carry the PK Franklin Edition Charcoal grill.
Great illustration and demonstration. Awesome grill. Too bad they don't sell it at Home Depot, or Lowes.
Does it require fresh charcoal every use? I’ve been using gas a long time. Thanks
PK 360 is made in CHINA! Had I known that when I purchased it I likely would not have bought it. I have an original pk grill and I actually like it more than my 360, I just wish it was bigger. They did a few things better with the 360 like raising it higher off the ground and recessing the cooking grate so your food doesn't slide off when trying to flip it, and the grates are 304 stainless and have a better hinge setup. But the 360 is harder to clean because the bottom is not flat, it has humps and ridges that trap the ash, the aluminum vent covers will melt and warp, and the once the ash piles up on top of the vent it falls to the side and starts to block the airflow. I'm not a big fan. I would have preferred a bigger, scaled up original with the better recessed cooking grate and new grate hinge.
At 2:17 , were those meatballs you where grilling?
What are the dimension of the grill?
Thanks.
I didn't know PK existed. Always been a Weber guy, but the cast alluminium is a selling point for me.
My Dad had a PK in 1968. Said he got it at the PX in Saigon. Had it for many years. I remember the chicken he smoked on it. Legendary.
The stainless grill and grate will quickly brown and then start to rust from what I've seen in many reviews pf PL grills. Also, other reviewers have commented that since the grill is at the same height as the walls of the grill, people need to be carful when using a spatula to flip meats that they do not push the meat off off the grill onto the ground. Seems like a simple redesign to lower the grill a half inch would cure that. Lastly, I cannot understand why PKL does not put indicator marks on their circular vent knobs and tubes so you know how open you have set the vents. Again, a simple change in their castings and injection moldings would take care of that.
over 50 phone calls to pk grills no answer.
6 Questions/Comments:
1. The stainless steel grill & charcoal grates – these remind me of cheap Weber BBQ's, rather than what I would expect on a relatively expensive charcoal BBQ. Stainless only looks on new grills. But after a few uses, no matter how hard you try cleaning them, they get coated with "crud" and look bad from then on. Would much rather having cast iron (or cast aluminum?). This grill isn't cheap. Deserves better.
2. Why are the side shelves made out of material that will melt if you put something hot on them, such as a pan you've had on the grill to make sauces, melt butter, etc.?
3. Speaking of sauce pans, seems odd that PK did not include a flat space on the top of the unit to set small sauce pans to melt butter, etc. They could change their casting to move their logo from the top of the unit down to the front, and then add a flat space (or even with a raised circle that a sauce pan could fit in) for that. This is a small grill, and I expect people would appreciate a place to put a small sauce pan (along with shelves that wouldn't melt when you put a hot pan on them).
4. Vent controls – seems odd there are no markings on the vents to indicate what position (closed, quarter or half open, etc.) they are vents. I imagine owners will figure it out after a while, but still seems odd that PK didn't include indicators.
5. Wheels – the original PK has larger diameter wheels compared to the 360. From years of experience pushing Weber Genesis grills around my backyard. I can tell you what a pain small wheels are. They get caught in cracks in concrete, bricks patios, etc. IMO, PK could have just used the larger diameter wheels in its original model.
6. Rotisserie – Am I correct that there is no provision to mount a rotisserie on this? If so, pretty odd for a relatively expensive unit.
I was considering this but for the price it needs to be perfect. My old $40 Sears clearance grill has an easy pullout ash tray on the bottom and the side shelves simply flip down. Two features I love and can't go without. I also miss my uniflame with an ash catch cup on the bottom you just scrape to and pull out.
Looks like a pain to clean
Too small for me. Need about 500-600 sq.feet of surface
Are these grills safe? I’ve read that heating aluminum is toxic.
Wish the 360 had a wood pellet hopper add on attatchment!
With 1/4" thick aluminum and the fine tuning of the vents, it looks like she'd be temp stable.
The hinged rack is genius btw!
Someone put some passion into engineering these!
It's on my wish list!!😍
How thick is the cast aluminum capsule?
I've been using my Classic for years and it still works great, but this one does have my interest.
Edit: Just checked and it's $900. I think I'll keep enjoying the Classic for now.
That's a really well edited video that isn't too long, and gets the point across!
What is the length and width of the cooking area?
Are these made in the US?
Looks like charcoal clean out will be a pain.
The four vent design is genius.
Love all the features of this amazing grill.
nice looking gril
