Today we are going to focus on one of my favourite superfood ingredients. The pumpkin seed. One of the coolest things about pumpkin seeds is that their nutritional benefits actually improve with age. Unlike other foods that decrease in nutrient density and decompose as they age, studies at the Massachusetts Experiment Station showed that squash and pumpkin seeds stored for more than 5 months actually showed a marked increase in protein content! Out of all seeds, they are the most alkaline-forming in the body, which is good news because our bodies tend to be more acidic on the standard-american-diet (SAD) and so we are always trying to create more alkalinity in our bodies since acidity is linked to excess weight, pain and other health problems.
Pumpkin seeds are a great plant-based source of protein with 100 grams of pumpkin seeds providing a whopping 30 grams of protein. Pumpkin seeds contain phytosterols, compounds that that have been shown to reduce levels of LDL cholesterol. The L-tryptophan in pumpkin seeds helps promote a good night sleep and lowering depression. Tryptophan is converted to serotonin and niacin and serotonin not only makes you feel good, but helps you sleep better as well.
Pumpkin seeds contain loads of trace minerals including phosphorus, magnesium, manganese, iron and copper. It contains vitamin K, and is an excellent source of the B vitamins (thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, vitamin B-6 (pyridoxine) and folates) and vitamin E.
Today I’m going to share with you pumpkin seeds in few forms. I found this great new protein powder from Omega Nutrition called Pumpkin Seed Protein Powder which is organic, vegan, gluten free, nut free, sugar free, and yeast free. They point out that pumpkin seeds contain 18 amino acids including 10 essntial amino acids with 60% protein with great bioavailability and is highly digestible. I have been using Probase Nutrition Pumpkin Seed Protein powder and zero stomach issues with it.
You don't get chlorophyll from seeds just because they are green. But you could always sprout them to eat the leaves, then you have vitamin k and magnesium.. 🙂

Its like a apple slicer with not as many blades. They sell were apple slicer.
Leave skin on. O.M.G. no its so easy takes about 3 seconds….really and no mess on your hands
cut the mango both side apart as close to the seed to leave out the center seed part, take the center seed part make a cut across the skib and peel off the skin with finger then make a small cut across same as you the skin and remove the fresh. For the 2 side parts, use knife rectagle across cut end up look like many small cubic cells then take a teaspoon scoop out the fresh.
Sprouted Pumkin seeds straight in the smoothie blend very well…we just blend it. Extra long. Add a half banana cinnamon and it's delish. I have no seed chunks . Plus your not buying even more plastic just to get ground up pumpkin seeds. China's not taking our recycled plastic anymore so it just ends up in the dump or Ocean.

I know this video is somewhat a few years old. However, I've just come across it in my search for nutritional information. By now you would have probably done many more since and I'm hoping you have.
HERE'S MY TESTIMONY:
I suffered from type 2 diabetes since 2004 when I was first diagnosed and simply excepted my doctor's suggestions and so I went on 2000mg of Metformin and then progressed to 3 shots of insulin per day. I thought this was the end and in mid 2016 visit to diabetic educator.
My visit to my diabetic educator prompted me to do something about is problem so I prayed to God to guide me.
Immediately I was prompted to completely get all sugars including processed foods and fast foods out of my diet and slowly replacing Metformin with Cinnamon tea.
My wife replaced our foods with none sugar leafy greens etc. The results were fantastic and the surprise on my diabetic educator was astounding. She took me off the insulin and minimised the dosage of Metformin.
By next visit I had completely removed all traces of Metformin from my life but still drinking cinnamon tea each morning. Without trying I began to lose weight to my correct weight.
Still something needed to be done to rectify what had been neglected for many years.
LIVER:
I needed to cleanse my liver naturally so I came across Dandelion Root & Milk Thistle.
After a few more weeks I began showing a huge increase of energy and it all began to be working much better. I had no more numbness in my limbs and I began to wanting to do some exercise as a result from my newly found energy. But there was still something not right. Then, I found information on our second brain the "Digestive System".
DIGESTIVE SYSTEM:
With more and more added information I realised that this needed some TLC as well. So, I finally did a colon cleanse and repeated the process at least once a month for the first 3 months. Then realised that there was more to deal with than just the colon and so I came across a complete digestive cleanse that cleansed the small as well as the large intestines. I then began to realise nutritional absorption can only come from there and if it's damaged in anyway, inflammation could set in which is the reason for a lot of sicknesses and diseases today. So, after a good complete cleanse I came across a recipe to heal any damaged areas which may have accured due to my previous lifestyle. After around a month I had then began to feel a lot healthier and clean. I knew the damage might have been Leaky Gut Syndrome and with continued application I will be feeling even better. My absorption of nutrients has been felt like it never had before. I now don't need to do so many intestinal cleanses as long as I eat the correct organic and home grown foods.
I hope you washed that kale before you put that in your blender.
