The Primos seem impressive.
Nice replay
How weatherproof is it? Can it stay outside in winter? And will the painted steel parts rust?
USA Made versus made in CHINA. Same price and rather support fellow American workers.
I don't see any reinforcement around that ceramic bowl. Are they known to crack/break?
Do these grills have a lifetime warranty?
This Primo Oval XL looks Great! I'm curious to see all the accesseries. Looking at designs for a modern outdoor kitchen set up for a client..the owner wants an XL in orange color. Will keep you posted. Thank you Primo!
I’ve had a PrimoXL for about 10 years now and I love it. Hinge loosened and lid fell off Aand broke several years ago. I called the factory and they shipped an entire new grill the next week. Lifetime warranty and they mean it. Customer service was outstanding!
I’m
Sure the primo in respect of cooking qualities is as good as Green egg and Kam Joe. However, the reason I’d go jo or egg is the shape and size. Kam jo make so many fabulous accessories that just would not fit a primo
Jo tisserrie is great
Jo Conquer and divide is great
Jo soap stones great
Kick ash basket is great
Kick ash can is great
None of the above will fit a primo?
The only downside o see of a primo is “it’s shape” do much good stuff available that you can’t use on a primo. That’s the only reason (only reason) but a huge one, as too why I would not buy primo,
Really like the shape and ceramic quality, but when I saw one in person the handle, hinges, side wings/tables were very flimsy and cheap feeling. Also, the chimney is very outdated compared to the competition today. The chimney allows rain to get in easily and looks like it could get out of position when opening the lid.
If Primo wants my consideration they need to provide thoughtful improvements like their competitors are currently providing. It’s like every kamado manufacturers are innovating except Primo. But, the main thing going for Primo, IMO, is the oval shape. Outstanding for 2 zone cooking and smoking large meats.
Primo, if you are reading this, I think you could benefit by:
1) upgrading the chimney to be rain resistant and better looking
2) upgrade your hinge to be more like kamado joe’s
3) upgrade gasket material to last longer
4) change grates to thick stainless steel
5) upgrade side table/wings to be sturdier and made of heavier duty material
6) get rid of bottom charcoal cast iron and replace with a stainless steel basket designed similar to Kick Ash
You can charge more or just create a new line with these updates (e.g. Primo Elite Series). I wish you guys the best.
$1,700 for a Ceramic Product :o/ Honestly, it's not that I can't afford it, It's just over Priced for Ceramic. ontop of that not even Stainless Steel Grates for longevity, No Thanks. Just imagine if that orval shaped Ceramic Cracks :o/
It a nice Orval Grill. Thanks for sharing :o)
Great product, nice video!
That gasket isn’t going to last long
Are you guys located in Baton Rouge?
I like the oval shape. Only thing holding me back from a ceramic grill is they are small. My cheap offset smoker can easily fit 5 full spare rib racks and I fill it every cook
Watched it and ordered mine. Thanks you!
Great video, very informative! I do like the look of the Primo!
