  1. In Australia, this is called a Chocolate Self Saucing Cake. Coz it sauces itself during the cooking process. Been making for 20 years – cannot go wrong. It was in my mum's high school cookbook, and she was born in 1960.
    You can also branch out with a Lemon Self Saucing Cake which is lemony and zingy!! Just google self saucing cake. Been around forever – just seemed to be 'rebranding' to make it popular 🙄
