  1. I made this cake today for my Thanksgiving dessert. The filling was delicious and the cake had a wonderful, spiced pumpkin flavor that wasn't too strong. However, I was disappointed with how dense the cake turned out. I figured it would be a lot fluffier and spongier, like all jelly roll cakes I've had. Next time, I think I will beat the egg whites separately in order to create more air. Also, I may use cake flour instead of all purpose and increase the amount of baking powder. If anyone else had issues, please let me know!

  2. Hi Laura, will you please make a chocolate cream cheese roll cake. The others I've seen are a). Make it look too difficult to make with too many steps and b). the cool whip frosting will have to stay in the refrigerator leaving a wasted cake because my family doesn't eat cold cakes. I will look forward to your chocolate roll cake soon. Thanks for all of the meals you have inspired in my home.

  3. I made this recipe last year for a family dinner in the fall and everyone loved it so I decided to make it again this year but for thanksgiving. I had to make 3 in order for there to be enough for everyone and it was totally worth it. Everyone LOVED it and said it not only tasted amazing but looked super sophisticated too. Thanks Laura!!!!!
