I'm not a healthy guy, but it seems like 5 pounds of butter is just straight-up unnecessary. You could cook that amount of shrimp in probably a 1/2 pound of butter and it would still cover every piece. I guess once the butter cools, it does make a good topping for toast or something because of the seasoning and shrimp flavor.
