  1. Does this cause the banana to get riper? We like our bananas a little on the green side, (I know, weird), they’re firmer & sweeter… once they have a brown spot they’re too ripe & get “mooshy”. It would be a shame to ruin a good banana 😉. We’re not a fan of banana bread either.

  2. I've tried this a few times, including once where I left one avocado out of the bag, as a control. As far as I can tell, it has no noticeable effect at all.

    (Edit: And yes, I did it for several days – all the avocados seemed to ripen at exactly the same rate.)
