We have seen many models of Olde Native BBQ grills only the brand labels call the same barbecue an Imperial or an Emperor. We have an Olde Native here to show the valve and burner installation but this will be the same in many models of the other brand models also.
More information is available on our Blog with instructions and pictures:
The clamp-on valves are called “flame thrower valves” because the control valve has an extra orifice which only emits fuel while the knob is being pressed. This function causes a small flame-thrower effect just next to the burner which turn off when the knob is not being pushed-in so the valve turns on the fuel to the burner and ignites the burner simultaneously. Even though these control valves are not available from any of the manufacturers, replacements are readily available for these models.
