We’re on a mission to complete 100 BBQs in 2024, and here’s #98: Ribs BBQ Sauce Competition – Dinosaur BBQ Sauce vs Sweet Baby Ray’s Honey Chipotle!
Smoked the ribs at around 300°F, wrapped after 2 hours, and cooked until they hit about 204°F. Finished off by caramelizing the BBQ sauce—now that’s food worth tasting!

Sugar ray no sugar plus durkees red hot. Use approx 1 cup of suger rays to 1/8 or 1/4 cup of traditional buffalo sauce like durkees or ted hot. Dip ribs in the sauce after cooked as opposed to saucing onbthe grill 🙂
I've won SEVERAL competitions using Stubbs Sweet Heat. On chicken, Sonny's BBQ (original or sweet) sauce is king. My team finished 9th place overall in the Carolinas last year, fwiw.
