What is a kilo in baking for bread
I tried this method a couple of days ago I did the basic bread recipes flour yeast salt and water ! And did the folding and followed along omg it tasted and was great for making sandwiches

Believe the recipe in the link is wrong, maybe why people are having issues. Think it should be 1tsp quick yeast per 500g of strong flour.
My husband treated me to a Richard Bertinet class in Bath several years ago. It made a huge difference in my ability to make great artisanal breads by using the slap and fold method. At first you think…nope, this is not a good technique, as the dough sticks to your hands. But, as you continue, as in his videos, it is like magic!! He is a great teacher in person, as well!

Did you use organic flour there Richard? I attended a course with you and you frowned when I initially bought non organic flour. Always used Organic flour since. Beautiful bread though.
I suggest to see this vidΓ©o at 0.5 speed to see exactly all his movement! Don't consider his voice which seems he had some Pastis with Marius, Cesar, Panisse and Escartefique prior!! Good vidΓ©o Richard!!!

Wish I could make bread like this. Tried making it using Richardβs method and ended up with is a big old mess that wouldnβt rise.
But then heβs probably been making bread since he was about 4, so Iβm not getting too down hearted about it.
