Chiles are the only thing I miss about New Mexico.
Roasted in tumblers made of galvanized steel… which emits large amounts of zinc when heated. Bon apetit!
I miss this most of New Mexico,Northern Calif doesn't roast.
Man dude has aged and has a double chin now. 😮
Mmm, I miss that smell.
What are most local people making with these chiles? Salsas? Green chili? Something else? Curious if anyone knows.
I got mine two weeks ago. My sis made fresh tortillas to eat with them while we peeled, chopped and bagged. I’m good to go for the year!
And the far north panhandle of Texas.
Ah so thats what those things are for when the elders arent playing bingo 🤔
Looks like your mouth is watering before you even get there.
I love it!
Thought Hatch was the pepper capital
Thx for doing this and sharing. 👍👍👍👍👍
We do that here in Arizona too. Most of the Hispanic grocery stores in the valley roast the New Mexico Hatch Green Chilies.
Come on atk…. how about a 5-second knife and fork shot of the final product on a plate?
Live in new mex..all my life this is my favorite time of the year
Every chilies season I freeze a whole case last through the winter and yes we eat them with everything…delicious
Green chilies the chile i can never find in northern grocery stores and its essential for chile stew.
Delicious! I can almost smell those pods roasting through the screen.😁👍
Is it hatch chile season? S3ems like that already is past.
It's such a mark of autumn to have these heavenly smells waft through town each year. Delicious.
Is this the chili P Jesse used to cook with? 🧐
The smell is amazing!
Colorado is the same
I seen these decades ago, what do you do with 40 lbs of peppers after they're roassted?
