  1. The only "rule" that I saw got broken was using the milk and water combination instead of the traditional water and draining method. But that's less of a rule break and more of a class one-pot recipe method. And the mustard making it cheesier and American cheese making it smoother are pretty well-known tricks at this point. The best American cheese to get is fresh from the deli counter in my experience. I mean, these are still good tips though
